The Rotary Club of Wexford’s Careers Connect initiative conducted yet another talk at Coláiste Bríde in Enniscorthy on March 11. Over 100 Transition Year students heard Samantha Kelly give a talk on Social Media – The Ins and Outs.
In a highly interactive talk, Samantha discussed with students why they use social media, how social media can be used for good, and the dangers of social media. Samantha also gave tips that were shared in real time from her followers. With many Transition Year students also working on projects such as starting a small business, they also heard of the marketing opportunities of social media. Samantha left these students with a great quote – “Don’t take criticism from someone you would not take advice from”.
