In a competition, which highlighted the calibre of Wexford’s youngest leaders, Conor Glynn, a pupil at St. Peter’s College Wexford, has been declared as the winner of the 2014 Wexford Rotary Youth Leadership Development Competition. Conor will now represent County Wexford when he competes in the South East Regional final in Waterford and if he is successful in the regional final, Conor will join 23 other students from across the island of Ireland for a week-long event which will enable them to spend time in parliaments in Dublin, Belfast and Strasbourg.
The County Wexford final was contested by students from 11 schools;

- Conor Kelleher (Good Council College New Ross)
- Hugh McInerney (FCJ Secondary School Bunclody).
Chairman of the Youth Leadership Competition, Karl Fitzpatrick was delighted with the calibre of students that entered this year’s competition ‘Rotary Wexford interviewed more than 30 students from across the county and following the interviews, the overwhelming consensus from the judges was that the country is in safe hands with our next generation of leaders and on behalf of the Rotary Club of Wexford, I’d like to wish Conor every success as he represents County Wexford in the regional final’.
