On November 19 Rotary Club member Karl Fitzpatrick gave a highly informative Careers Connect talk to the students at Coláiste Abbain. Karl’s talk, Starting Your Own Small Business, gave advice and insight on key areas that an entrepreneur would need to focus on such as available resources and support, finding the niche within the niche and the importance of a comprehensive business plan. Additionally Karl outlined how vital it is that as students look at prospective employers that they understand which educational institutions that these employers seek new graduates from to staff their businesses.
