The Rotary Club of Wexford continued its series of Careers Connect talks at DEIS schools throughout County Wexford with a talk on Apprenticeships at Coláiste an Átha in Kilmuckridge on February 4th. Rotary club member John Casey gave an enlightening and highly informative talk on this very relevant topic to over 40 students at the school. John covered issues such as how you go about getting an apprenticeship, how long it takes to be qualified, the types of apprenticeships available, salaries for an apprentice, and much more. In particular John hit home the necessity of getting a Leaving Cert for those wishing to pursue an apprenticeship.
