The first Just 1 Life of the 2024/2025 school year took place on Dec. 11 at the National Opera House in Wexford.
Approximately 350 students from Bridgetown College, Loreto Wexford, Presentation Secondary School and Youth Train attended the event.
Students heard presentations from An Garda Síochána, Mental Health Ireland, National Ambulance Service, Wexford Fire Service and the HSE. With many personal stories and experiences shared by the presenters along with powerful and often harrowing videos, students were made fully aware of the often devastating consequences of poor road safety decisions. Just 1 Life is a road safety initiative of The Rotary Club of Wexford, in partnership with Wexford County Council. Launched in 2006 well over 20,000 students have attended Just 1 Life events over the years. The Rotary Club of Wexford would like to thank Wexford County Council for their continued partnership and would like to thank all the presenters at this event. Four more Just 1 Life events will take place during this school year with over 2,200 students attending.
