The Loreto Interact Club in Wexford, in collaboration with the Rotary Club of Wexford, continues to make significant strides in community service and international projects. Established in October last year the Interact Club made up of 17 Interactors, led by President Lauren Murphy, Vice President Charline Siriwardane and PRO Catherine O’Reilly has shown remarkable dedication to fostering community ties and supporting global health initiatives.
During a recent luncheon hosted by the Rotary Club of Wexford, the young leaders of Loreto Interact Wexford accompanied by their support teacher for the club Anna Culleton shared their impactful contributions, including their involvement in the Rotary Remembrance Tree event and their efforts to eradicate Polio by selling crocus bulbs. Their commendable efforts resulted in a generous donation of €530 towards Polio eradication, presented to Rotary Wexford President Natasha Hughes.
Natasha praised the Interact Club for their exemplary leadership and commitment, reflecting the core values of the Rotary spirit. The collaboration between the Loreto Interact Club and the Rotary Club of Wexford mentors Mike Brand, Maree Lyng and Christine Doyle exemplifies a united dedication to service, paving the way for future community and international projects, including an upcoming environmental-themed initiative.
This partnership highlights the positive impact of mentorship and the power of youth leadership in building a more compassionate and sustainable future.
