Rotarians Chris Nial and Michael Tierney Honoured with Paul Harris Pins

The Rotary Club of Wexford is proud to celebrate the achievements of its members Chris Nial and Michael Tierney, who were recently honoured with Paul Harris pins on May 13th, 2024 at a lunch meeting in the Riverbank House hotel.

This recognition is awarded to Rotarians who exemplify the humanitarian and educational objectives of the Rotary Foundation, and it reflects the vision of Rotary’s founder, Paul Harris. Chris Nial was warmly recognised as a new member of the Paul Harris Society for his generous contributions to Rotary’s international efforts, notably the Polio Plus campaign. Since joining the club this year, Chris has actively engaged in initiatives to eradicate polio and has supported impactful projects worldwide, from disease prevention to advancing education.

Michael Tierney received a Paul Harris pin, celebrating his impactful role in both the Rotary Wexford Careers Connect and Just One Life projects. Since joining the Rotary Club of Wexford in 2021, Michael has made significant contributions, particularly in enhancing safety, analysing data and coordinating valuable educational opportunities for local youth in our DEIS schools across the County of Wexford through the Careers Connect program.

I believe we can change the world one life at a time.’ I am immensely proud to lead a club that not only celebrates such achievements but also inspires continuous community engagement and development.”

These awards highlight the ongoing commitment of the Rotary Club of Wexford members to making a difference both locally and internationally
